Crochet Mobile Cover - Free Crochet Pattern

Mobile covers are so expensive when bought from a store. Everyone needs mobile covers as mobiles are so much a part of our daily lives.

This is a simple crochet pattern for mobile covers. Pictures with different ideas using same pattern are shown below. Will share the patterns for the other ideas soon :)

Materials:

Size H/8 5 mm crochet hook

Any 4 ply crochet yarn - Red Heart Super Saver Yarn would be perfect. Scrap yarn is fine.

Valcro Or Fancy Buttons (you can also make buttons with crochet)

Pattern

Pattern:

Measure you phone.

Ch 11 (For Samsung Galaxy S3 and Iphone 5)

Foundation Row: Sc in the 2n chain from the hook, sc in each row till the end, 2sc in the last chain. working on the opposite side of the chain, Sc in each ch till the end. (the first stitch should have 2sc.) join the last stitch with the first stitch with a slip stitch.

Row 1: Sc in each sc around.

Repeat Row 1 till the pouch measures the size of your phone.

This makes the pouch. When you reach the desired size,

Flap Pattern: (Do not cut, continue)

Foundation Row: Ch 1, Sc in 10 sc, Ch 1 and turn.

Row 1: skip the first Sc, Sc in each of the Sc, Ch1 and turn

Repeat Row 1 (flap pattern) for 6-7times (this depends on how small or big flap you want)

Row 8 : Skip 1st Sc, Sc in next 2 Sc from previous row, Ch 4, skip 4 Sc, Sc in the next 3 Sc, Ch 1 and turn

Row 9. Repeat row 1. Do not Ch 1 in the end.

Fasten off.

You can make your own crochet buttons or use a valcro as button. If you do use valcro, you do not require the eyelet and you can skip Row 8 & 9 from flap pattern. You can make crochet flowers, leaves, butterflies and much more as a button.

If you are using buttons, make the eyelet as small or large depending on the size of the button. I will share different patterns of mobile covers I made soon. The basics remain the same for each cover just the designing changes.
